for mountain lion, try starting it from command line like that: /Applications/MacPorts/KDE4/krusader.app/Contents/MacOS/krusader .. worked for me, launching from the finder gui didn’t.

Sorry, whiteexcaliber, I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion (clean install) and have not had a chance to reinstall Krusader. I have seen at least one report of a successful Krusader install on 10.8.2 in the developer forums, I a won’t be able to confirm it at least for a couple of weeks. if you sort it out, please share your experience (one way or another).

“port installed” shows this krusader was installed.

But I could not open krusader, even though click the icon at Launchpad.
What am I wrong?

RE: Mountain Lion: “Fools Rush In” (I regretted the upgrade to Lion.. I never heard about Rosetta being removed.. found out the hard way.) So.. I get as far as it trying to find dependency Expat where it fails. I attempted to explicity install Expat, BUT.. it rummages thru about 30 servers and never finds the sought after file. References to this problem are more than 2-3 years old, and not exactly relevant to my current system environment.. so I can only assume the Krusader port package has not been maintained lately, or the Expat port or both.. What fun! I was able to run muCommander with no drama at all.. perhaps take that for spin?

Hi,

Has anybody else noticed how unbelievable wrong the disk information is in krusader on OS X?!? The screenshot above shows an example of this (3.5 GiB free out of 1.2 GiB?!?!?).

Same thing happens on my install….

I initially kept seeing Drkonqi crashing as well. I turns out it was related to the fact that KDE had not been initialized (kdeinit4.app) which in turn was because dbus had failed to initialize. This page helped (http://www.pubbs.net/macports/200905/111814/) and I just noticed a comment above saying the same thing – the dbus plist must be updated to remove the disabled flag. Once that was done, everything wen smoothly. Hope that helps.

Has anyone else had problems with drkonqi crashing when they try to run Krusader? This has happened to me on both of the Macs I have been using for testing (both running OSX 10.6.2).
